PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court Chief Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan on Friday ordered holding of the Circuit Bench in Chitral district, an official communique said.
According to the communique, in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 198 (2) of the Constitution, Chief Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan had ordered the holding of the Circuit Bench in Chitral district.

Henceforth the Bench of the PHC shall hold Circuit Court in Chitral, consisting of such of the judges as may be nominated by the chief justice from time to time and for the period as determined, he added.
Meanwhile, following the directives of the chief justice, District and Sessions Judge Peshawar Ziauddin Khattak visited the Central Prison in Peshawar and heard the problems being faced by the prisoners. The judge also ordered release of 31 prisoners involved in minor offences.
