CHITRAL: A complete wheel-jam and shutter down strike was observed here Tuesday against the stoppage of the construction work on the Lowari Tunnel. Speaking on the occasion, former MNA Maulana Abdul Akbar Chitrali asked the government to release Rs4 billion for the completion of the mega project in the next fiscal budget. He said they would be forced to start civil disobedience movement and observe sit-in outside the Parliament House in Islamabad
if their demand was not met. Lashing out at the people’s representatives from Chitral, he said they were not sincere to resolve problems of the masses. Former district nazim Maghfirat Shah, Syed Ahmed of PML-Quaid, Siffat Zarin of PML-N, Akhunzada Rehmatullah of Jamaat-e-Islami and others also spoke on the occasion.
