CHITRAL (The News) : All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) Chital chapter Convener Shehzada Pervez Khalid on Friday said that former president Pervez Musharraf would contest the next general elections from Chitral.
In a statement, he said the APML would be organised at the grassroots level in Chitral within one month. “Our party will emerge as a political force in Chitral as a large number of local political figures have joined the APML,” he added.
APML Chief Pervez Musharraf was a well-wisher of the Chitrali people, Pervez Khalid said, adding that the former president had initiated work on the Lowari Tunnel. “Our leader will contest the next general election from Chitral and secure a heavy mandate,” he asserted. He said the Chitralis would demonstrate their love for Pervez Musharraf by actively taking part in the provincial convention being held in Peshawar on February 18.
