’Vast gap between resource availability and population growth is becoming serious’

Peshawar (Online): The Provincial Minister for Population Welfare Salim Khan called on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Barrister Masood Kausar at Governor’s House, Peshawar and apprised him about working as well as achievements of the department.

The minister who hails from District Chitral also apprised the Governor about certain problems being faced by the people of the district and put forward suggestions for their solution as well.

While highlighting the importance of the contribution and services of the department in population welfare, the Governor said, the vast gap between resource availability and population growth is becoming serious problem for the motherland and therefore there is a need to make more concerted efforts to educate the people and promote awareness especially to realize them their responsibilities in avoiding the consequences in this respect.

Talking on a point, the Governor also assured the minister that every possible step will be taken to develop higher educational institutions in Chitral and enable the youth of the area to avail higher educational facilities within the district.
