Forces arrest two militants in Chitral

CHITRAL: The security forces on Tuesday claimed to have arrested two militants from Shekhandh village of Ramboor valley in Chitral, official sources said.

 

The sources said acting on a tip-off the security forces raided a house in the village, located near the Pak-Afghan border, and arrested militants identified as Fatehur Rehman and Muhammad Amin.

 

Four Kalashnikov rifles, hundreds of cartridges, explosives material and Afghan identity cards were seized from them.

 

The militants were said to be brothers who used to go to Afghanistan via Nuristan, the sources added.

 

The security forces shifted the militants to an undisclosed location for further interrogation.

 

Following threat, the security measures were beefed up in the areas close to the border with Nuristan and Kunar. Via The News
