Govt plans construction of women business centre in Chitral: Hidayat

Peshawar—Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Livestock and Cooperatives, Haji Hidayatullah on Sunday said the government was making hectic efforts for construction of women business centre and working women hostel in Chitral to provide congenial atmosphere to female to equip them with ornament of education.

The minister said that women are the backbone of the society and taking full advantage from their potential could pave the way for progress and prosperity of nation.

He was addressing a function in which people and women belonging to Chitral city joined ANP. The function was also addressed by ANP District Chitral President Muzafar Jan, General Secretary Shah Wazir Khan and other leaders. On this occasion, Khadija Bibi, Bibi Sultana, Fatima, Syed Ulfat, Sardar Bibi along with dozens of supporters and family members announced joining of ANP.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that ANP has always struggled for the rights of poorest of the poor and marginalized community and raised slogans at every forum for their socio-economic emancipation. He said ANP has fulfilled most of its election promises by giving identity to Pakhtuns, provincial autonomy and renaming of NWFP as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He said the Lawari Tunnel would soon be opened for traffic that would bring positive changes in people lifestyle and make the region a hub of economic activity. He said the inclusion of such large number of women in the fold of ANP will strengthen the party in Chitral. He said that government was giving top focus on development of Chitral and record developmental projects have been completed there on the identification of local communities.

The minister said that maximum relief would be provided to people in the upcoming budget. Pakistan Observer
