PESHAWAR: Basharat Jabin, a young poetess hailing from Chitral, has composed a collection of hymns (Naats) titled 'Aseer-i-Mustafa Ban Kar' in praise of Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in Urdu.
Basharat Jabin did her master's in Islamic Studies a couple of years ago from the University of Peshawar. She is believed to be the first poetess of Naats in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, having authored hymns about the exalted life of Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Using appropriate similes, metaphors and poetic phrases, she showed her adoration for the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) to highlight his life and achievements and also communicate the universal message of Islam.
The theme of her poetic collection is the love for the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). Through her verses, she communicated that the life of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) taught what he practiced and following in his footsteps was the real love for Allah.
The book has been received well by critics who evaluated its theme and diction as impressive and thought provoking.
