Gilani’s bid to defend corruption won’t pay off: Qureshi

Talking to the media at the Lahore Press Club at the joining of the party by a group of people from 29 districts, he said that PTI did not need support of any group or agency and all notions regarding damage to the PTI’s interests after retirement of Gen Ahmed Shuja Pasha were ill founded. He dispelled the rumours of him joining the PML-N and said that it was all propaganda to unsettle the PTI ranks which had failed miserably.

Qureshi said the PM should write letter to Swiss authorities because his efforts to defend corruption would not pay off. He said he had contested election and won despite Prime Minister Gilani’s opposition.

The PTI leader said there was a huge responsibility on the people of Pakistan because if they faltered in their choice to vote in the coming election, they would have to bear another five years of despotic rule of corruption.
