PESHAWAR: Scattered rain with thunderstorm lashed various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including the provincial capital, on Sunday.
The rain started early Sunday and continued intermittently throughout the day as the Met Office forecast more rain during the next 24 hours. Peshawar received 16 millimetres of shower, Bannu 27, Parachinar 19, Kohat 18, Chitral

There were also reports of rain from other parts of the province. The Met Office forecast rain in Peshawar, Mardan, Swat, Abbottabad, Chitral, Kohat, Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan today (Monday).
Our Swat correspondent adds: Various parts of Swat valley received rain and snowfall, turning the weather pleasant. Mercury dropped further in Kalam, Bahrain, Madyan and Mataltan owing to rain and snowfall.
Our Mansehra correspondent adds: The rain started in the district early in the morning and continued intermittently all the day. The Kaghan Road was blocked at various places because of landslides caused by heavy rain, while the mountainous areas of Kaghan, Allai and Kandia valleys received snowfall.
