Uplift projects for Chitral in the pipeline: Arbab

The News - CHITRAL: Federal Minister for Communication Arbab Alamgir has said that several other mega projects would be launched in Chitral after the completion of Lowari Tunnel to pave the way for prosperity of the people.
Addressing the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) workers on Monday, he said two more major projects including linking of the Shandur Road with the Karakoram Highway to connect the area with China and construction of Chitral-Tajikistan Road through Durah Pass were in the pipeline. He said these projects would not only change the destiny of Chitral but also of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The minister said that two and a half kilometres approach road for the Lowari Tunnel would be completed by September this year. He said the party was in power due to the matchless sacrifices of its leaders Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto. 

Arbab said the government had been struggling hard for the last two years to eradicate militancy and terrorism from the country, adding that peace would be restored in all the restive areas very soon.
