CHITRAL (APP) - Two youngsters drowned on Sunday when one of them fell into the Chitral River while crossing a hanging bridge over the river while his friend was taken away by the gushing water while trying to rescue him, police said.
Mustafa Chitrali son of Barkatullah and Wajibuddin son of Akbaruddin were crossing the Chitral River at Sheeshi when the former fell into it. Wajibuddin jumped into the river for rescuing his friend.
However, he was also swept away.
The local and rescue teams after hectic efforts recovered the body of Mustafa while search for Wajibuddin was in progress.
